# How to use BESSELK Function in Excel

Syntax: = BESSELK(X, N)

The BESSELK function syntax has the following arguments:

• X    Required. The value at which to evaluate the function.

Syntax: =BESSELK(A4,B4)

Syntax: =BESSELK(A5,B5)

Result: 0.277387804

Result: 0.008291768

Syntax: =BESSELK(A8,B8)
Result: 0.25375976

Syntax: =BESSELK(A9,B9)
Result: #NUM!

Syntax: =BESSELK(A10,B10)
Result: #NUM!

Note:

• If x is nonnumeric, BESSELK returns the #VALUE! error value.
• If n is nonnumeric, BESSELK returns the #VALUE! error value.
• If n < 0, BESSELK returns the #NUM! error value.
• The n-th order modified Bessel function of the variable x is: where Jn and Yn are the J and Y Bessel functions, respectively.
